Start university form BAES

Students can enter the BAES programme** at one of the 4 start universities*:
- KU Leuven
- Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna
- Universidad Complutense de Madrid
- Uniwersytet Jagiellonski w Krakowie
* Your start university does not have to be located in your home country.
** Students who want to start the BAES programme, need to go through an extra pre-admission procedure on top of the KU Leuven application procedure.
In order to distribute students equally among the 4 start locations, we ask you to indicate in the form below which 3 start universities you prefer. Your motivation and the available places per partner will determine the final allocation to a particular start university.
As this choice is a mandatory part of the application process, a printout of the completed form should be uploaded in your application file afterwards.
The final decision on Start University (and Mobility path) will always remain in the hands of the Programme and its organs; students do not have a right to a specific Start University (or a specific Mobility path). |
PAY ATTENTION: The choice of start university also affects your MAJOR SPECIALIZATION opportunities. For the major specialization all students have to go on mobility to a 2nd university (and thus leave the start university) so you can't take up a major at your start university.
Spanish pre-admission process
To comply with Spanish national and regional law, UCM must follow an extra pre-admission process to start these studies at UCM.
Students who indicate UCM as a start university must follow the pre-admission procedure at UCM, on top of the standard application via KU Leuven. This procedure is different according to your previous studies:
- Studies in Spain that give access to University: www.ucm.es/admision-a-grado
- Studies in the European Union that give access to University and if your family has residence in Spain: www.ucm.es/sistemas-educativos-extranjeros-1
- Studies in the European Union that give access to University and if your family has no residence in Spain or Non-European studies that give you access to University: www.ucm.es/early-admission
The entry process runs in June of every academic year. A retake for the entry exams is set in July of each academic year.
DISCLAIMER: The Bachelor of European Studies is offered in the framework of Una Europa.
