Research

Rafael Peels' research focuses on the inclusion of non-state actors in international agreements. More in particular, he examines the political participation of various civil society organisations in the relation between the European Union and the Andean Community of Nations.

K.U.Leuven Centre of Excellence

In June 2010, the Centre has been recognized as K.U.Leuven Centre of Excellence. Since then, it has launched a 7-year research programme on ‘Global Governance and Democratic Government’ (2010-2017), which aims at the construction of a new paradigm for democratic global governance.
