Short Bio

Jed joined the Centre in October 2010 as a PhD candidate for the project ‘The Internationalisation of European Law and the Europeanisation of International Law’  and focuses on the public international law side of the project. Jed completed his LL.B (Hons) and Bachelor of International Relations (Hons) at Flinders University, Australia and an LL.M in International and European Public Law (cum laude) at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. Jed worked  in employment law in Australia before undertaking a legal internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (Chambers). Jed was a Junior Researcher at the T.M.C Asser Institute of International Law in The Hague and was Managing Editor of the The Hague Justice Portal.

In June 2010, the Centre has been recognized as K.U.Leuven Centre of Excellence. Since then, it has launched a 7-year research programme on ‘Global Governance and Democratic Government’ (2010-2017), which aims at the construction of a new paradigm for democratic global governance.
