Research |
Tim Heysse works on the interface between political philosophy, philosophy of language and epistemology. In addition to work on Habermas and other political philosophers, he has published on theory of argumentation and on deliberative democracy. His aim is to introduce into deliberative democracy themes not readily associated with the deliberative interpretation of democracy, such as the importance of power, truth, representation and the temporal nature of democratic societies. More recently, some of his work has been focusing on the question of how to combine a robust, non-relativistic understanding of truth and rationality with an acknowledgment of the historical nature of our life and society. |
