Short Bio

Sanderijn Duquet (Master of Laws, Ghent U. and LL.M. International Legal Studies, American U. Washington College of Law) is PhD Fellow at the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO), the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies and the Institute for International Law, University of Leuven, Belgium. Sanderijn is preparing a PhD on the contribution of the European Union to international diplomatic and consular law. Sanderijn has published on topics such as diplomatic and consular law, EU external relations, foreign direct investment, and informal international lawmaking.

KU Leuven Centre of Excellence

In June 2010, the Centre has been recognized as KU Leuven Centre of Excellence. Since then, it has launched a 7-year research programme on ‘Global Governance and Democratic Government’ (2010-2017), which aims at the construction of a new paradigm for democratic global governance.
