The staff of the Master's Programme is affiliated to the following research centres of the K.U.Leuven.

  • Institute for International European Policy                                                             

    The IIEP is dedicated to the study and teaching of a variety of topics such as EU institutional change and EU policies, multi-level governance, transition studies and m inority rights in Central and Eastern Europe, peace and strategic studies, international political economy, American politics, comparative foreign policy, and sustainable development.

  • MoSa: Modernity & Society 1800-2000. Structures, Identities, Movements
    MoSa focuses on (1) processes of social transformation as well as the reactions against it; (2) collective identities; and (2) social interactions, daily practices and concrete living conditions of certain social groups in the 19th and 20th c. MoSa investigates organisations as well as practices and discourses, from a micro-historical, national or transnational perspective. Geographically MoSa concentrates on Eastern and Western Europe, but research also confronts European with non-European developments, especially in North America, the (post)communist and (post)colonial worlds. Present research deals with labour, gender, religion, rurality, and social movements.

  • Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies
    The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies is an interdisciplinary research centre of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Catholic University of Leuven. It carries out and supports interdisciplinary research at the University on topics related to globalization, governance processes and multilateralism.
