Beyond graduation
JOBS
Graduates of the European Studies Programme are equipped for many different future work spaces.
As the European Studies programme offers in-depth knowledge about different aspects of European politics, law, history and culture, trains its students in different research methodologies, and teaches them to communicate their findings to a diverse audience, graduates take off for diverse professional careers.
Many alumni work for European institutions and lobby groups, offer advice on European affairs to national, regional or local administrations and governments, or look after the European affairs of private companies and non-governmental organisations. Others are engaged in national and multinational diplomacy. Many hold academic positions in European politics, economy, history and culture at universities all over the world. Still other alumni inform the public about European affairs as journalists and cultural officers. Although the programme delivered its first graduates only 20 years ago, many of these alumni embarked on impressive careers. What is even more striking, though, is that many of them refer to their MA degree in European Studies as a decisive factor in getting their current job.

Master in European Politics and Policies (MEPP)
The mission of the “Master of European Politics and Policies” (MEPP) is to combine academic excellence in the comparative study of public sector structures, policy-making and administration within Europe, with a continuing concern for the practical challenges professionals in policy, administrative and consultative functions face at the sub-state, state and EU level.
MEPP has an explicit European and comparative orientation, which includes the study of institutions, decision-making and policies of the European Union on the one hand, and the analysis of convergence and divergence of public sector problems and solutions in European countries on the other hand.
